PROGRAMMATIC LENSE
What our programs entail
CMRSL promotes access to justice, human rights protection, and community empowerment for LGBTIQ+ persons through legal defence, policy advocacy, education, and emergency support services. The organization provides strategic litigation, legal aid, advocacy, training, human rights monitoring, and survivor support while working to challenge discrimination, strengthen accountability, and build a more informed and resilient community.
Pillar 1: Access to Justice & Legal Defence
We provide legal representation, strategic litigation, and free legal aid to protect the rights of marginalized communities. Through clinics, pro bono networks, and survivor court support, we help individuals access justice and navigate the legal system safely.
Pillar 2: Policy Advocacy & International Engagement
We influence laws and policies by monitoring legislation, engaging state institutions, and participating in international human rights mechanisms. Through research, media engagement, and public education, we amplify minority rights issues and promote accountability.
Pillar 3: Education, Training & Mentorship
We strengthen legal knowledge and leadership through training, mentorship, and practical learning opportunities. By equipping lawyers, students, paralegals, and human rights monitors, we build a stronger movement for justice and equality.
