CMRSL is happy to announce that this morning, the ODPP withdrew charges in Msa MCSO. No. 88 of 2021 (Consolidated with Msa MCSO. No. 89 of 2021), R Vs. DM and AHG. CMRSL has been offering criminal defence to the accused persons in the case. The accused had been charged with committing an unnatural offence contrary to Section 162 of the Penal Code. The case has been proceeding since July, 2021.

In June, this year, the community celebrated the acquittal of 2 transgender women charged with indecent practices between males Contrary to Section 165 of the Penal Code, in Lamu MCSO. No. E012 of 2022, R vs HB & Anor. CMRSL also offered criminal defence to the accused in the case.
