The police have arrested 2 suspects in the killing of a gay man in Likoni, Mombasa on 19th May, 2020.
Police from Likoni Police Station arrested the two suspects on 9th June, 2020 and presented them before the Mombasa Chief Magistrate’s Court on 10th June, 2020. The court granted the police 14 more days to complete investigation on the two.
The duo is due back to court on 24th June, 2020.
Mombasa Law Courts have however been shut from 19th June, 2020, after the Chief Justice in a statement announced that 11 members of staff had tested positive for COVID-19, but said the court will as much as possible endeavor to offer online and other virtual services to court users.
